Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has successfully concluded its participation in the Financial Expo 2026, organised by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) and held from 2nd to 4th July at Hulhumalé Central Park, delivering a dynamic and engaging three-day showcase of Shari'ah-compliant banking innovation, financial literacy, and community outreach.
The Expo was officially inaugurated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, bringing together key stakeholders from across the financial sector to promote financial literacy, innovation, and financial inclusion across the Maldives. MIB played a prominent role in the opening programme, with Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Riza participating in the inaugural panel discussion, sharing valuable insights into the evolving financial landscape and the transformative role of innovation and automated payment systems in shaping the future of banking.

Throughout the three-day event, MIB showcased its comprehensive range of Shari'ah-compliant banking products and digital solutions, giving visitors the opportunity to learn directly about the bank's innovative services while engaging with knowledgeable MIB representatives. Bank staff were on hand throughout the expo to assist customers with product information, account-related inquiries, and live demonstrations of MIB's digital platforms and other banking services.

One of the standout highlights of MIB's participation was its interactive financial literacy quiz, which attracted significant public interest throughout the event.
