Bank of Maldives Recognizes Top Performers at Annual Staff Awards Ceremony
Bank of Maldives recognised outstanding employees and teams at its annual Staff Awards ceremony, presenting 38 awards across various categories. Misbah Abdul Rasheed was named Employee of the Year, while Yuzna Naseem received the Leadership Excellence Award.
Bank of Maldives honoured its outstanding employees and celebrated excellence across the organisation during the prestigious BML Staff Awards held on Friday evening.
The Bank’s highest individual accolade, the Employee of the Year Award, was presented to Misbah Abdul Rasheed, Head of Business Systems in the Technology Division, in recognition of his exceptional contributions and performance throughout 2025. Meanwhile, the Leadership Excellence Award was awarded to Yuzna Naseem, Head of Property under the Properties and Administration Division, for her exemplary leadership and significant impact on the organisation.
The ceremony also recognised outstanding individuals and teams in categories such as Outstanding Team Achievement, Project Excellence, and Innovation Catalyst, highlighting achievements across multiple areas of the Bank.
Five senior leaders received the CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in acknowledgement of their exceptional contributions to the Bank’s operational performance and long-term strategic objectives. The recipients were:
- Moosa Munsif Ahmed, Head of Strategy and Change
- Husham Saeed, Director of Technology
- Rashfa Jaufar, Chief Credit Officer
- Hassan Shaam, Chief Properties and Administration Officer
- Adly Ahmed Didi, Chief Information Officer
Addressing employees during the event, Mohamed Shareef, CEO and Managing Director of Bank of Maldives, described 2025 as a landmark year in the institution’s 43-year history.
“2025 marks a defining chapter in our Bank’s journey and stands as our most successful year to date. Beyond strong financial achievements, it reflects our growing contribution to the economic development of the Maldives. This success has been driven by the dedication, professionalism, and ambition of our people. Tonight, we celebrate those who have exceeded expectations and whose efforts continue to shape our future,” he said.
A total of 38 awards were presented during the evening, recognising exceptional performance and contributions from employees and teams across the Bank.
