Bank of Maldives Expands Nationwide ATM Network with New Self-Service Banking ATM in Thilafushi

Bank of Maldives has taken another step in expanding its nationwide banking network, inaugurating a new self-service ATM in K. Thilafushi to bring greater financial accessibility to one of the Maldives' most active economic zones.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, alongside BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef and senior officials of the bank, reflecting the significance of the expansion to both the financial and economic development of the country.

The new ATM in Thilafushi is part of a broader and ambitious nationwide expansion plan that BML is set to roll out throughout 2026. This includes the establishment of new self-service banking centres, additional branches, and the installation of over 70 USD ATMs across the country. The USD ATM rollout is specifically aimed at improving access to foreign currency and enhancing convenience for individuals and businesses, particularly in key economic zones such as Thilafushi.
