FSM Expands Nationwide Fuel Network With Seven New Station Openings Across Multiple Atolls

The Maldives' national fuel infrastructure is expanding at a rapid pace, with Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) officially commencing operations at seven new modular fuel stations across multiple atolls, as the government's ambitious initiative to bring affordable and accessible fuel services to every corner of the archipelago continues to gather momentum.

The new stations, spanning islands from the northernmost atolls to the central and southern regions of the country, represent a decisive stride forward in the government's vision of establishing a reliable fuel station in every atoll across the Maldives. With 18 fuel stations currently under development nationwide, the rollout is reshaping the fuel landscape for fishing communities, businesses, and residents who have long faced the challenge of limited local fuel access.

The seven stations now operational are located at:

HA. Ihavandhoo marks the opening of an additional modular fuel station in Haa Alif Atoll, bringing the convenience of local fuel access to fishermen and residents in the northern region of the country.

HDH. Hanimaadhoo follows closely with the inauguration of a third modular fuel station in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, further strengthening the fuel supply network across the northern atolls.

B. Eydhafushi welcomed the opening of a fourth modular fuel station in Baa Atoll, giving local fishermen and community members a reliable and accessible fuel source closer to home.

SH. Milandhoo marked a significant milestone as the fifth fuel station to open under the initiative, bringing reliable fuel services to Shaviyani Atoll and reinforcing the government's commitment to nationwide coverage.

F. Nilandhoo saw the inauguration of a new fuel station in Faafu Atoll, adding yet another island to the growing list of communities now benefiting from improved local fuel infrastructure.

Dh. Kudahuvadhoo commenced services at a new Easyfill FSM site, expanding the fuel network into Dhaalu Atoll and making fuel access more convenient for residents and fishermen in the region.

Dh. Meedhoo rounded out the latest wave of openings, with FSM officially commencing services in the island, marking another meaningful step in the nationwide expansion of reliable and accessible fuel services.

Together, these openings reflect the government's unwavering commitment to ensuring that no island is left behind in the push for equitable fuel access. By placing fuel infrastructure directly within communities, FSM is removing one of the most persistent logistical barriers faced by fishermen and island residents, enabling more productive operations at sea and supporting the broader economic wellbeing of communities across the Maldives.
