Ooredoo Q.P.S.C. has announced the appointment of Eyas Assaf as the new Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Tunisia, effective from 10th January 2026, as the telecommunications giant continues to strengthen its leadership across its regional operations.

Eyas Assaf steps into the role succeeding Mansoor Rashid Al Khater, whose tenure as CEO of Ooredoo Tunisia concludes on 9th January 2026 after a distinguished period of leadership that transformed the company's position in the Tunisian market.

A Legacy of Transformation

Mansoor Rashid Al Khater joined Ooredoo in 2009 and rose through the ranks to hold several senior leadership positions, including Chief Strategy Officer at Ooredoo Qatar and Group Chief Strategy Officer, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company's long-term vision and performance agenda. Appointed CEO of Ooredoo Tunisia in 2019, Mansoor led a wide-reaching transformation of the business, accelerating digital innovation, championing 5G deployment, and significantly elevating the customer experience. His leadership was recognised on the international stage, with Ooredoo Tunisia earning the prestigious "Service Client de l'Année" award for six consecutive years under his stewardship.

A Seasoned Leader Steps Forward

Eyas Assaf brings to the role more than 30 years of global and regional experience in the telecommunications and financial sectors. He joined Ooredoo Group in 2022 and most recently served as Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer, where he played a central role in driving financial strategy and transformation across the group. His prior experience includes serving as CFO at Indosat Ooredoo, Ooredoo Algeria, and Asiacell Iraq, giving him a deep and well-rounded understanding of the group's diverse markets and operations. Eyas holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Jordan and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States, bringing both academic grounding and professional certification to his new role.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Ooredoo extended its warmest congratulations to Eyas Assaf on his appointment while expressing sincere gratitude to Mansoor Al Khater for his outstanding service, visionary leadership, and invaluable contributions to the Ooredoo Group over the years. The company wished both leaders every success in their respective journeys ahead.
