Ooredoo Maldives closed the full year 2025 with a solid and resilient financial performance, demonstrating strong cost discipline and an ability to defend its market position in the face of intensified competition across the mobile segment.
Revenue and Profitability Growth
Revenue grew by 1% year-on-year to QAR 523 million, a result that underscores the operation's strength and steadiness despite a more competitive market environment. More impressively, EBITDA increased by 5% year-on-year to QAR 298 million, with the EBITDA margin expanding by 2 percentage points to a robust 57%, reflecting the company's effective cost management and consistent drive for operational efficiency throughout the year.
Expanding Customer Base
Ooredoo Maldives also recorded meaningful growth in its customer base, which expanded by 5% year-on-year to 426,000 customers. The growth was supported by a continued focus on delivering an enhanced customer experience, maintaining high service quality, and implementing targeted retention initiatives that kept customers engaged and loyal in a competitive landscape.
New Leadership to Drive Strategic Growth
Effective 1st February 2026, Shadi Qawasmi, formerly Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo Palestine, was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Maldives. His appointment ensures leadership continuity and provides a strong commercial foundation to advance the company's strategic priorities, including the expansion of digital services, strengthening network capabilities, and driving sustainable market growth across the Maldives.
