Bank of Maldives Simplifies Medical Dollar Booking Process Through Its Mobile Banking App
Bank of Maldives has simplified medical dollar bookings through its Mobile Banking App, allowing customers to apply, submit documents, and track applications digitally. Aasandha and NSPA patients can access up to USD 2,000, while self-financing travellers are eligible for up to USD 1,000.
Bank of Maldives has streamlined the process for Maldivians travelling abroad for medical treatment, introducing a simpler and more convenient way to book medical dollars directly through the BML Mobile Banking App.
Customers can now apply for medical dollars entirely through the app, submitting all required documents digitally and tracking the status of their applications in real time, eliminating the need for in-branch visits and reducing the time and effort involved in securing foreign currency for medical travel.
The eligibility limits have been clearly defined to accommodate different categories of medical travellers. Patients travelling abroad for treatment through Aasandha or the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) are eligible to obtain up to USD 2,000, while those self-financing their medical treatment abroad are eligible for up to USD 1,000.
As part of the updated process, medical dollars will now be credited exclusively to USD accounts. Customers who do not yet hold a USD account can conveniently open one directly through the BML Mobile Banking App, ensuring the entire process remains streamlined and accessible from a single platform.
The new process reflects Bank of Maldives' continued commitment to making essential banking services more accessible, efficient, and customer-friendly, particularly for those navigating the already challenging experience of seeking medical treatment overseas.
