Bank of Maldives Signs Two-Year Partnership With WeRUN Maldives to Promote Corporate Wellness and Team Spirit

Bank of Maldives has announced a two-year partnership with WeRUN Maldives, backing the organisation's flagship corporate relay race and reinforcing the bank's ongoing commitment to promoting wellness, teamwork, and inclusive sporting participation within the Maldives' corporate community.

Under the agreement, Bank of Maldives will support the organisation and development of the WeRUN Maldives event over the next two years, with the first race set to take place this year. The partnership signals BML's recognition of the growing importance of workplace wellness and the role that structured sporting events play in building stronger, healthier, and more connected organisations.

The WeRUN Maldives event is a 5-runner relay challenge, with each runner covering 1 kilometre, specifically designed for companies, institutions, and organisations operating in the Maldives. More than just a race, the event brings together the thrill of athletic competition with a strong sense of corporate identity, offering a dynamic and energising platform for organisations to strengthen team spirit, celebrate their people, and champion healthy and active lifestyles in the workplace.

The partnership with WeRUN Maldives is the latest addition to Bank of Maldives' growing portfolio of sports-related initiatives. The bank continues to support sports development across the country through national programmes, strategic partnerships, and community-driven events that promote youth engagement, workplace wellness, and inclusive access to sporting opportunities for all Maldivians.
