Under the scholarship, Sayyid will undergo professional training across multiple countries, including China, the Philippines, and Indonesia, before representing the Maldives at a competition in Australia. In addition to the training programme, the scholarship will cover all necessary equipment and provide the full support required for both training and competition, ensuring Sayyid has everything he needs to perform at the highest level.

The BML Sports Scholarship is designed to give talented Maldivian athletes the structured support and world-class exposure needed to realise their full sporting potential. Offered in partnership with the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC), which oversees the selection process, the fully funded scholarship grants recipients access to globally renowned high-performance training centres, giving them the competitive edge to excel on the international stage.
