Trans Maldivian Airways Launches Seaplane Operations to Ananea Madivaru Maldives Resort in North Ari Atoll
Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has officially launched exclusive seaplane transfer services to the newly opened Ananea Madivaru Maldives Resort in North Ari Atoll. The five-star resort, which debuted in April 2025, features a unique twin-island design connected by an overwater walkway, offering 110 luxury villas and nine dining outlets. This partnership provides guests with a seamless 20-minute scenic flight from Velana International Airport, further expanding TMA's extensive network of premium resort partners.
Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA), the world’s largest seaplane operator, has officially begun transfer operations to the newly opened Ananea Madivaru Maldives Resort, enhancing access to one of the Maldives’ latest luxury destinations in North Ari Atoll.
The partnership marks Ananea Madivaru as the newest addition to TMA’s growing network of resort clients. The airline will serve as the exclusive seaplane transfer partner, offering guests a seamless and scenic journey from Velana International Airport to the resort. TMA emphasized its commitment to delivering an exceptional start to each guest's holiday, with the flight offering panoramic views of turquoise lagoons and coral islands.
The Ananea Madivaru Maldives Resort began welcoming guests in April 2025, introducing a fresh take on luxury island living. Spanning two interlinked islands, the five-star resort features pristine white beaches, a sprawling lagoon, and a vibrant house reef ideal for snorkelling and diving. The main island houses the resort’s signature amenities, including the Kandu Spa, Dive Centre, Kids Club, and nine dining outlets, alongside beachfront and overwater villas. The second island features a Recreation Centre, additional villas, and more dining venues, offering a comprehensive and immersive Maldivian experience.
With the addition of Ananea Madivaru, TMA continues to play a central role in connecting premium resorts across the Maldives, supporting the country’s tourism sector with reliable and high-quality seaplane services.
