Dhiraagu Launches "Donate a Meal" and "Donate to a Family" Ramadan Initiatives Through DhiraaguPay, Supporting Migrant Workers and Vulnerable Families

Dhiraagu has introduced two meaningful community support initiatives this Ramadan, making it easier than ever for customers to give back and spread generosity during the holy month through the convenience of DhiraaguPay.

The two initiatives, "Donate a Meal" and "Donate to a Family", reflect Dhiraagu's deep commitment to fostering compassion, community spirit, and meaningful connection during Ramadan, channelling the generosity of its customers towards those who need it most.

Donate a Meal: Supporting Migrant Workers

Under the Donate a Meal initiative, Dhiraagu has partnered with Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives to support the distribution of meal packs to migrant workers near mosques across the Greater Malé Region. Dhiraagu kicked off the initiative with a generous contribution of 1,000 meal packs, while enabling customers to extend their own generosity by contributing additional meals at just MVR 60 per meal through DhiraaguPay. Every contribution goes directly towards ensuring that migrant workers in the community are able to break their fast with a warm and nourishing meal.

Donate to a Family: Supporting Vulnerable Families Through MOMS Aid

In partnership with MOMS Aid, the Donate to a Family initiative enables customers to support the NGO's Ramadan Aid programme, which provides care baskets and iftar packs to families in need across the Maldives. Dhiraagu has committed to supporting 100 families with care baskets of essential food items, with a particular focus on single mothers and families caring for children with disabilities, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of society are not overlooked during the holy month. Each care basket is valued at MVR 1,200 and contains a carefully selected range of essential food items to support families throughout Ramadan. Customers are welcome to donate any amount towards the cause, making it accessible for everyone to contribute regardless of the size of their gift.

Simple and Convenient Giving Through DhiraaguPay

Contributing to either initiative is straightforward and entirely digital. Customers can make their donation by selecting their preferred cause from the featured service tabs within DhiraaguPay, with all contributions transferred directly and securely to the respective NGO partners.
